How to Replace and Repair a Tail Light Unit on Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before changing the tail lamp unit, first remove the connecting screw near the tail lamp assembly. Slide the lamp assembly down into the sheet metal opening, then remove it from the vehicle. After that, loosen the bulb sockets on the lamp by turning them to the left until they pop off. Move each bulb socket onto one end of the light's main assembly and twist it until firmly in place. Check that the lamps are working and next line up the tail lamp assembly with the rim of the sheet metal hole. Put the lower tab for the lamp assembly into its connector slot and push the lamp up until the clips snap on both sides. Move the assembly upwards inside the sheet metal and then bolt the tail lamp to the panel.
