2003 Chrysler Sebring Control Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Upper Control Arm on 2003 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Service starts by removing the front shock from the vehicle and taking it apart until the bracket at the top of the arm comes away from the coil spring. After that, take out the bolts on the upper control arm to detach it from the upper mounting bracket bushings and remove the upper control arm. If you identify any damage to the upper control arm, you must replace the entire device, since repair or straightening them is forbidden. The upper control arm should be placed onto the upper bracket and attached using 2 bolts screwed in the middle and away from the coil spring to help it fit well and prevent issues. Once you bolt the control arm mounting bolt nuts, put the control arm parallel to the mounting bracket and tighten its bolts up to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.). After this, put the top mounting bracket and control arm on the coil spring, connect the front shock assembly and put it back into the car.
