2003 Chrysler Sebring Seat Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain the Seat Switch for the Driver's Seat on 2003 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The first step is to open the hood and disconnect the negative cable on the battery remote post. You should always isolate and disconnect the battery negative cable before trying to diagnose or service any part of the seat or power seat system, most importantly in cars with side air bags and wait for two minutes to ensure the capacitor is completely discharged. Once that's done, detach the side shield from the front-seat cushion. Gently lift the knobs off of the seat switches on the hardtop models. Take the screws out of the switch attaching area and carefully lift the switch out of the cushion side shield. Install the switch by placing it and fastening it with screws, attach the knobs if you wish, connect the switch's wire connector and finally put the seat cushion side shield back into place. Next, attach the negative battery cable to its own remote post on the remote battery.
