2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Van Engine Mount Parts and Q&A
Q: How to service the front engine mount on 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Van?
A: Before you remove the front engine mount, first disconnect the battery's negative cable, lift the hood and angle the fan so the radiator tank and hose are not blocked. Quickly mount the Engine Support Fixture Tool C-3487-A, then lift the vehicle with a hoist. Take the brackets and insulators off the nuts, then lift the engine from the support fixture and move it up enough to remove the mounts. With the engine a little higher off the floor, attach the insulators and brackets and when the engine is lowered, fill the insulator studs into the holes. Turn the attaching nuts to 102 Nm and the bolts to 88 Nm. Bring the car close to the ground, get rid of the engine support fixture, put the fan in its original position and reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
