2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Window Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Power Window Regulator for Front on 2003 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: Before you remove the power window regulator, first take the inner belt molding and the waterdam off. Screen out the old window switch at the door panel and wire it securely to the door harness. Set the door glass to the proper place, pull out the nuts that hold it on the regulator through the sight holes and remove the glass from the regulator. Bar the top of the door glass with a wooden wedge or any other similar tool. Pull the window regulator down and take out the two nuts that link the stabilizer to the door. Let go of the bolt that keeps the window regulator to the door and remove the other two regulator bolts from their mounts. Lift the window regulator upward to allow the two regulator bolts to come out of the door, then slide out the window regulator through the opening in the door and unplug the door wire harness. To mount the regulator, fit the door wire harness to the window regulator and pass the regulator through the opening in the door from the inside. After engaging the two regulator bolts on the door, install the bolt securing the window regulator to the door and tighten it, along with the three regulator bolts to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs.). Put the regulator stabilizer into the door and fit the two nuts, tightening them to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs.). Pull back the handle on the window regulator, lift the window glass with your hand and take out the wooden wedge. Line up the window glass with the regulator and screw in the two nuts through the sight windows until you reach 10 N.m (89 in.lbs.). Then, unplug the electric window switch from the door wire harness, fit it inside the door on the inner panel and put the waterdam and inner belt molding into place.
