How to Service and Repair a Sliding Door Latch Assembly on 2003 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

Before servicing or repairing the sliding door latch, uninstall the sliding door, take out the sliding door stop and remove the inside door opener. After that, remove the door paneling and take out the insulation for the sliding door. Unplug the rotary tumbler switch from the power source and remove the screws on the door lock. Take the handle off of the sliding door lock and unhook the release cable from the lock. Remove and reinstall the elements in the same order you took them out but backwards.
