How to Service and Repair a Sliding Door Latch Assembly on 2004 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

Start by taking out the negative terminal from the battery before addressing the rear sliding door latch. Lift the trim panel after that and remove the screws and latch that are fastened to the door. If the equipment is installed, remove the electrical connector and the control cable. Insert the control cable and optionally the power connector if needed, place the latch in the door, install the screws and tighten them to a force of 10 N.m (89 in.lbs.). Then, put the trim panel back into place and reconnect the battery negative wire.
