2003 Dodge Stratus Cruise Control Servo Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Cruise Control Servo on 2003 Dodge Stratus?
A: Take out the negative battery cable before working on servicing and repairing the cruise control servo. Bring out the two nuts that join the servo bracket to the shocktower, followed by removing the electrical and vacuum components. Following that, undo both nuts that hold the speed control cable and the bracket to the servo. Pull out the cable from the servo and take out the retaining clip. Afterward, remove the servo mounting bracket. To install, with your throttle wide open, push the cable sleeve into the hole on the bracket, aligning the speed control hole with the hole on the servo pin. Pop in the clip to hold it all in place. Connect the vacuum hose to the servo and then to the electrical connector. Fit the servo studs into the holes on the speed control cable and bracket, next add the nuts and tighten them to 6.7 Nm (60 in. lbs.). After that, mount the servo and bracket onto the stud plate in the shocktower and tighten all the nuts before finishing the negative battery cable connection.
