To service the lifter and lash adjuster in-vehicle, remove the cylinder head cover, rocker arm and hydraulic lash adjusters and mark them for re-assembly. Make sure each adjuster is partially filled with oil before installing it, then reinstall the rocker arm and cylinder head cover, repeating for each adjuster.
