When performing service or repair of the lifter or lash adjuster in-vehicle with
Camshafts installed, start by taking out the cylinder head cover, the
Rocker Arm and then the hydraulic lash adjuster. Do the same for every hydraulic lash adjuster, remembering to mark them so they're assembled in the same position later since, on a bike, lash adjusters are removed and replaced as one unit. For assembly, you should ensure every hydraulic lash adjuster has some engine oil; no or minimal plunger travel as the lifter goes down will tell you the oil is enough. Then, install each hydraulic lash adjuster and the rocker arm and repeat for all hydraulic lash adjusters before fitting the cylinder head cover.
