2004 Chrysler Town & Country Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Transmission Speed Sensor for Output on 2004 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: For transmission speed sensor maintenance, start by removing the battery negative cable and then safely lift the vehicle up with a hoist. Then, unhook the output speed sensor connector and remove the output speed sensor by unscrewing it, after which you should examine the speed sensor's o-ring and change it out if it's damaged. When putting in the speed sensor, correct the o-ring's placement, install and tighten the sensor to a torque of 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). After you are done, put the speed sensor harness in place and hook up the other end of the negative battery cable.
