How to service a rear bumper on 2004 Dodge Dakota?

In order to service the rear bumper, put it on a lifting device and loosen the bolts on the inner bumper brackets. Disassemble the license plate lamp wire (in the event that there is one), and detach the bumper. To install, elevate the bumper, re-fix the wire, tighten the bolts to 94 N.m (70 ft.lbs.) and take the device off.
