  • Q: How to Maintain a Timing Belt Tensioner with a Mechanical Tensioner on 2004 Dodge Neon?
    A: In order to service the mechanical timing belt tensioner, loosen the timing belt and loosen the tensioner assembly bolts. Installation of the new tensioner, which is aligned with temporary engine mount bracket bolts. Tighten the lower bolts, to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.), and remove the temporary bolts, and replace the timing belt.
