The first step is to unlatch the timing belt and next take away the bolts that fasten the timing belt tensioner assembly to the engine block for a methodical tensioner. Then, take out the timing belt tensioner assembly. During installation, fit the timing belt tensioner assembly onto the engine and temporarily attach the engine mount bracket bolts to the upper holes of the tensioner. After that, fit the lower mounting bolts of the timing belt tensioner and tighten them to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.); afterward, remove the temporary bolts holding the engine mount brackets. Afterward, slide the timing belt in place around the engine parts.
