2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Oil Pressure Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service an Oil Pressure Switch on 2004 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: The first thing to do when servicing the oil pressure sender is to break the link with the negative cables and the oil pressure switch. Take out the oil pressure switch from the block by turning it backwards. Even if you're patching, be sure to replace and lubricate the O-ring. Secure the oil pressure switch after installation, ensuring you use a torque of 18 Nm (159 in. lbs.). Reattach the oil pressure switch to its connector and link the battery negative terminals together. After turning on the engine, look for oil leaks under the car at the switch.
