To service the muffler, raise the vehicle and remove the clamps from the catalytic converter and remove the reinforcement of the tunnel. For the 5.7L engine, remove the LH resonator and tailpipe assembly and the muffler. Reinstalling components, checking for proper alignment and clearances, and checking for exhaust leaks in the vehicle after lowering it.
