Install the axle retaining nut and fasten it to 244 Nm or about 180 ft. lbs. Place and tighten the generator belt and then tighten the accessory drive belt t-bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Set the lower generator pivot bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.), install the pencil strut and then put the generator heat shield into place. Secure the lower heat shield bolt to 54.2 Nm (40 ft. lbs.), put on the accessory drive splash shield and fit the right front wheel. Drop the vehicle and tighten the nut to the upper bracket until it reaches 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). After that, insert 2 bolts into the heat shield on the generator and tighten them to 4.5 Nm (40 in. lbs.) and finally, reattach the negative battery cable.
