2005 Chrysler Town & Country Window Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Window Regulator on 2005 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: When servicing or fixing the front door window regulator, begin by getting rid of the watershield, the inner belt molding and the door glass. Take out the wire connector from the motor and loosen the screws that link the front and rear wall rails to the inner door panel. Unscrew the heads from the screws in the keyhole slots in the inner door panel and then loosen those that connect the motor/housing to it. After that, disconnect the regulator from the door panel and free the rear guide rail from the top rear opening and the front guide rail from the front. To set up the window regulator, push the front guide rail through the front hole, the rear guide rail through the back hole and seat the regulator on the inner door panel. Place the screws on the guide rails so they line up with the inner door keyhole slots. Then use the recommended sequence to tighten the screws to 8.5 - 10.7 Nm (75 - 95 in. lbs.). Tighten the motor/housing screws to the inner door panel to 2.8 Nm (25 in. lbs.), plug the power window motor wire back in and set the door glass in place. After that, check and operate the door glass and then put the inner belt molding and watershield into place.
