How to Service Air Bag Sensors Mounted on Front Rail Tips on 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan?

First, open the hood and take out the negative lead of the battery to work on the front impact sensors which are identical on the front rail tips. Make sure you wait for two minutes to let the air bag system reserve capacitor discharge before starting your engine. Lift the vehicle next and pull out the electrical plug from the sensor. Use step three and carefully take the impact sensor out of the vehicle. Place the sensor in your vehicle, use the two bolts to hold it tight and apply 7 Nm (62 in. lbs.) torque to both bolts. Connect the electrical connector and then raise the vehicle off the hoist. You should carry out a system test before connecting the negative cable of the battery, to prevent any dangers to you. Check how the vehicle and system react and then close the hood.
