2005 Dodge Grand Caravan Ignition Coil Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Ignition Coil on 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Before servicing or repairing the ignition coil, you should remove the negative lead from the battery. Remove the cable holding the throttle and the speed controller from the clip and remove the 2 bolts that fix the power steering reservoir to the intake manifold. Unlock the nut of the power steering reservoir from the bracket and place the reservoir in a more convenient spot. After that, take out the cables from the ignition coil and unplug the electrical connector too. Get rid of 2 nuts that hold the ignition coil to the studs on your engine. When installing, put the coil over the studs on the bracket, then fasten it with the 2 nuts and tighten all the bolts firmly. Attach the electrical connector to the ignition coil and place back the ignition cables. Put the power steering reservoir in place, putting the bracket over the mounting stud and attach it to the intake manifold with the 2 bolts. Secure the nut on the ignition coil bracket to the stud, plug the throttle and speed control cables back into the clip and then attach the negative wire to the battery.
