2005 Dodge Neon Center Console Base Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Reinstall the Center Console Base on 2005 Dodge Neon?
A: Your first step should be to place the parking brake in its full position. Next, pull off the screw cover plugs over the screws just beyond the cup holders and remove the cup holder screws that connect the console to the bracket on the floor. If your vehicle has the console, open the storage compartment and remove the screws holding it in place in the lower bracket. If you have a manual transmission, take out the shift lever knob. Take the console upward and above the gear selector and park brake handle before you take it out of the vehicle. To install, place the console in the vehicle and secure it with the threads that go into the floor brackets. Replace the shift lever knob, when needed and pull the parking brake up to let it go.
