Dodge Neon Center Console Base Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Reinstall the Center Console Base on Dodge Neon?
    A:
Before taking off the floor console, put on the parking brake. Once you have those screws out, undo the screws just behind the cup holders that are holding the console to the bracket underneath. Should you have a console storage compartment, lift the lid, remove the screws and separate the console from the floor bracket. When the vehicle is manual-shift, take out the shift lever knob. Lift the console over the dashboard until it's just above the gear selector and park brake and then pull the console out of the car. After that, slide the floor console back into the car and secure it to the floor brackets with the screws. If you have a shift lever knob, attach it now and then take off the parking brake.
