How to Service and Repair an Axle Shaft with an 11 1/2 AA Specification on 2005 Dodge Ram 1500?

The first step in fixing or repairing a 11 1/2 AA rear axle is take off the axle shaft flange bolts. After taking out the bolts, remove the axle shaft from within the axle tube and take out the axle shaft gasket. When you're installing, make sure to use new axle flange bolts or apply Mopar Lock N' Seal or Loctite 242 on cleaned bolts that were already in place. Cleans the hub and flange before you install the axle shaft gasket. Put the axle shaft back into the axle tube and insert the axle shaft flange bolts, tighten them to 129 Nm (95 ft. lbs.).
