  • Q: How to Maintain Your Seat Heater on 2005 Dodge Ram 3500?
    A: Before servicing the seat heater, remove the negative battery cable and isolate it. Separate the correct seat cushion or seat back trim cover from its frame and then disconnect the electrical cables from the defective heated seat decor. Look for the cables attached to the inoperative heating element and divide them as close to the surface of the old heating part as possible. During installation, peel the adhesive off the replacement heating element (2), then attach it over the old element (1) so no part of the apparatus is folded. Join the electrical ends of the new heating element and afterward reconnect the battery's negative cable. Check that the heated seat works and install the corresponding seat cushion or seat back trim cover with the seat wire harness properly placed in both places.
