You do not have to take off the hood to replace one or both hood hinges; each hinge can be changed separately. First, set up the hood, followed by lifting the cowl screen. Trace markings at the hinge site on the body with a grease pencil. Remove the cylinder from inside the hood's support and remove each of the nuts that connect the hinge to the hood next. Afterwards, unbolt the hinge from the body and take it off from the chassis. Fit the new hinge to the vehicle at the spots that were previously marked. The nuts on the hood hinge should be tightened to 12 N.m (9 ft.lbs.), while the ones on the hinge to the body should be fitted tightly to 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.). After your hood is closed, fasten the rear bolts to 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.) and open the hood to fasten the front bolts to the same value. It's important to set the hood hinge support cylinder and cowl screen panel into place at this final stage.
