How to Service and Repair a Drive Belt on 2005 Jeep Wrangler?

To service the drive belt, disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the old belt by rotating the tensioner and then place the new belt properly around all pulleys except the idler. Make sure the tensioner is seated correctly and look for wear indicator gap of 2.4L engines which should not be more than 24mm.
