A: When changing the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, the negative battery cable is to be disconnected and the cooling system is to be partially drained. Take the sensor out of the coolant outlet tube and put on the thread sealant then put it back in and tighten it to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Lastly, re-connect the electrical connector.
