How to Service and Repair Trunk Lid Lift Support on 2006 Chrysler 300?

To repair the trunk or liftgate shock support, open the deck lid and secure it. Carefully remove the retaining clips from the ball studs with a flat tool. Take the support cylinder off, then put it back on by pushing the ball sockets into the studs until the clips snap. Make sure clips are in place before closing lid.
