How to Service and Repair a Trunk Lid Latch on 2006 Chrysler 300?

In order to fix the trunk /liftgate latch, one should open the deck lid, remove the negative cable of the battery and the latch cover. Unscrew the latch and take it out, unscrew the body wire harness and pull it out. Fit the new latch, install the harness, change the cover, reconnect the battery and close the deck lid.
