2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Battery Cable Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix Battery Cables on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Shut off both the battery switch and all electrical accessories by turning them off before repairing the battery cables. Break the connection by disconnecting and isolating the remote cable from the battery's negative terminal. Afterward, take out the battery from the vehicle. Set the battery cable pushpins, fasteners and clips one by one until the wires are free of their attachment points and then take off the battery cables from the engine compartment. As you install, put the battery cables in the engine compartment and secure them with each type of retaining pushpin, fastener or routing clip separately to ensure the cables end up where they originally belonged. After that, attach the battery in the vehicle and link the brand-new battery's negative side to the remote.
