2006 Chrysler Sebring EGR Tube Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an EGR Tube on 2006 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before servicing or repairing the EGR tube, detach the black negative battery cable and take off the air cleaner box. After that, unbolt the clamp on the EGR tube at the intake manifold and move the clamp out of its spot in the intake. Next, release the two bolts from the EGR valve and afterward, remove the tube and gasket. Remove the rubber silicone seal from the intake manifold and check for damage. If it's damaged, replace it. Before installation, make sure the intake manifold's rubber seal is working well; if it isn't, replace it. Set an upgraded gasket between the EGR tube and EGR valve, loosely attach the bolts to the EGR valve and place the clamp into the intake manifold opening, tightening the bolt to 11.3 N.m (100 in. lbs.). Next, tighten the bolts on the EGR valve to 11.3 N.m (98 in lbs.), attach the air cleaner box and finally connect the negative battery cable once more.
