2006 Chrysler Sebring Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Reinstall an Oxygen Sensor in the Exhaust Manifold on 2006 Chrysler Sebring?
A: One heated oxygen sensor is positioned in the exhaust manifold by the engine. Read the order of actions before starting. First turn off the battery and then disconnect the connector from the heated oxygen sensor. You can take out the oxygen sensor with either Snap-On YA8875 or a crow foot wrench socket. Immediately after taking off the manifold, clean the threads with an 18 mm X 1.5 + 6 E tap. With a sensor you plan to reuse, coat the threads with anti-seize compound, for example Loctite 771-64. Sensors bought new are already pre-coated. Adjust the sensor to a torque of 28 N.m (20 ft. lbs.), place the heated oxygen sensor connector and lastly reattach the negative battery wire.
