2006 Chrysler Sebring Starter Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Starter Motor on a 4-Cylinder Engine on 2006 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Start by opening the hood by releasing the hood latch before anything else on a 4-cylinder starter motor. Disconnect the negative of the battery and then remove the air cleaner box. Following that, get rid of the lower bolt, the upper bolt and then the ground wire. Get rid of the starter, remove the wire connector from the solenoid and take off the nut holding the B+ wire to the terminal. Take away both the solenoid and the B+ wires from the starter terminals you removed. To install, match the solenoid wire to the starter's terminal, connect the B+ wire to the terminal and use the nut to secure it and connect the solenoid wire connector to the terminal you just installed. Set up the starter, finish with the upper and lower tastes and at last reconnect the battery and install the air cleaner box.
