2006 Dodge Dakota Ambient Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Ambient Temperature Sensor on 2006 Dodge Dakota?
A: First, disconnect and separate the battery negative cable when servicing the ambient temperature sensor. Look for the ambient temperature sensor near the left rear of the radiator yoke above the grille. Unplug the wire harness from its connector, take out the screw from the sensor hold and then remove the sensor from the radiator yoke. Install the ambient temperature sensor on the radiator yoke, screw it securely into place and tighten the screw with 5.6 N.m (50 in. lbs.) of force. Connect the wire harness connector to the ambient temperature sensor next and reattach the negative battery cable only in the end.
