2006 Dodge Magnum Battery Cable Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Battery Cable in the Engine Compartment for Positive on 2006 Dodge Magnum?
A: Before handling the battery positive cable, first switch the ignition off and turn off every electrical accessory. Remove the tire cover to access the battery and then break the negative cable from the battery (3). With the vehicle raised on a hoist and the right front wheelhouse shield taken off, you'll find the battery positive cable bulkhead outside terminal. Take the battery positive cable away from the sleeve where the bulkhead is installed and the starter is fastened. To free the positive battery cable, take off the routing clip at the back of the engine for the 2.7L and 3.5L or remove the clip attached to the 5.7L starter's back if you have one. Disconnect the positive battery cable from your vehicle and keep a close eye on how it is routed. While installing, put the battery positive cable in the engine compartment and attach it to the proper engine type's routing clips. Attach the battery positive cable to the starter and its fasteners in the bulkhead and then fit the right front wheelhouse splash shield again. Decrease the suspension, link the negative battery terminal (3) and top off the installation with the spare tire cover.
