How to Service and Repair a Door Lock Cylinder on 2006 Dodge Ram 3500?

Before servicing or fixing the lock, take off the outside door handle. At this stage, disconnect the clip holding the lock cylinder lever together with the electric lock switch, if there is one, to the door lock cylinder. After that, remove the screw keeping the door lock cylinder attached to the door handle and retrieve the cylinder. To install, place the door lock cylinder into the exterior door handle and screw it in tightly. If these are supplied, put the electric lock switch and the lock cylinder lever onto the door lock cylinder, then clip the two parts together. Lastly, reattache the exterior door handle.
