How to Service Trunk Lid Lift Support on 2006 Dodge Stratus?

To service the trunk or liftgate shock support, open the decklid, remove the gas prop-rod lock caps, and remove the prop-rod from the mounting studs. To reinstall, attach the prop-rod to the studs, secure with the lock caps and then close the decklid.
