2007 Chrysler Aspen Oil Filter Parts and Q&A

  • Q: Which Oil Filter is Best for All Engines and How to Remove It on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?
A: A high-quality full-flow oil filter is supplied on all engines and a replacement filter should be a Mopar(R) or similar. Use a drain pan and loosen the oil filter with an appropriate wrench as the filter is positioned in the drain pan. With your right hand rotate the oil filter counterclockwise to loosen it from the boss on the cylinder block. As soon as the filter comes apart, raise the gasket end to stop oil leaking, then pull the filter out of the car. Always remove the filter gasket when changing the filter and clean the gasket sealing surface of oily or dirty spots with a damp cloth.
