How to Service a Rocker Arm Assembly on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?

You should disconnect the negative battery cable before you start working with the rocker arm assembly to avoid an accidental start. Gently take off the cylinder head cover. To remove the rocker arms on cylinders 3 and 5, turn the engine until cylinder #1 is at its TDC exhaust position. To prepare for cylinders 2 and 8, get cylinder #1 to the TDC point, where it is highest and compression happens. Rotate the crankshaft until you reach TDC of cylinder #3 for cylinders 4 and 6. Make sure the crankshaft rotates so you get cylinder #2 at the TDC compression position for cylinders 1 and 7. Insert special tool 8516 Rocker Arm Remover into the hole, press down on the valve spring and take out the rocker arm.
