2007 Chrysler Town & Country ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair the ABS Control Module on 2007 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: To start working on the Electronic Brake Control Module, first remove the negative ground cable from the battery and makesure it is disconnected. Then, take out the battery shield and remove the battery and after that, unplug the vacuum hose connector at the tank on the battery holder. Remove the screw that ties the engine coolant neck to the battery tray and then take the battery tray out. Thoroughly cleaning every surface in the ICU and all the brake tubes is necessary to keep debris out of important areas; use Mopar(R) Brake Parts Cleaner or a similar solvent for the task. To disconnect, press the tabs on the cover of the connector and pull down and outwards on the lower part until it stays in place. Once detached, the connector should be pulled straight away off the ABM. If your vehicle's HCU is not connected to traction control, take out the three short screws that hold the ABM to the HCU; but if traction control is on the vehicle, unscrew the four short screws instead. In the end, isolate the ABM from the HCU.
