2007 Chrysler Town & Country Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Speed Sensor on 2007 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: First, lift the car on a hoist and separate the speed sensor connector before repairs or services. Make sure to clear debris from around the sensor before taking it out, so dirt won't get into the transaxle. Afterward, unscrew the retaining bolt for the speed sensor and then gently remove the speed sensor from the transaxle, so the sensor drive gear doesn't get inside. Should the sensor drive gear drop, it must be reinstalled back onto the sensor. Last, carefully scrape the speed sensor drive gear off the speed sensor.
