    A: Therefore, to remove the battery tray, remove and isolate the battery negative cable. If the vehicle is equipped with a diesel engine, remove vacuum connector (3) and electrical connector (1) from diesel vacuum valve (2) and raise the diesel vacuum valve (1) bracket to disengage the mounting tabs from the receptacles (2) of the battery tray. After this, pull off the battery, followed by the four bolts (1) and the one nut (2) holding the battery (3) tray in place to the left frame rail (4). Last, remove the battery tray out of the engine compartment.
