How to Maintain and Fix the Hood Cable on 2007 Dodge Caliber?

First, release the wheel mounting bolts and then get rid of the front driver's side wheel. Removing the front driver's side splash shield allows you to notice the path of the cable. Work the lever down and lift the cable off the grommet. Take the cable out of the latch first, then remove it from the push pin grommets underneath. Then, open the hood release with a fastener inside the car, remove the screws or bolts and take out the hood cable from the hood release.
