How to Detach the Hood Cable on Dodge Caliber?

Before taking out the hood cable, take off the front driver's side tire and the wheel nuts. Then, separate the front driver's side splash shield, while keeping an eye on how the cable is installed. Press the latch down and take the cable out of the grommet. After that, pull the cable away from the side of the latch. Use your finger to pull the cable out of the push pin grommets. Afterward, open the hood as you normally would, remove the fasteners inside and pull the cable out of the hood cable.
