How to Service and Repair Trunk Lid Lift Support on 2007 Dodge Caravan?

To work on or fix the trunk or liftgate shock support, start by pressing the release button for the liftgate latch and ripping the liftgate fully upward. Raise the liftgate and support it with a proper lifting device while it is open. Following this, remove the seal from the D-pillar flange closest to the end pivot of the prop assembly. Take out the bolt that hold the end pivot to the D-pillar and then the bolt that fastens the prop assembly to the liftgate. Remove the prop assembly from the vehicle in the end.
