How to Remove and Replace a Water Pump on a 2.4L Engine on 2007 Dodge Caravan?

To do the job, begin by cutting the connection to the negative battery cable and lifting the car on a hoist. Once that's done, remove the right inner splash shield as well as the accessory drive belts before emptying the cooling system. Prop up the engine from beneath and take off the right engine mount and its bracket at the same time. After that, remove the timing belt and timing belt idler pulley as well. Fit the camshaft sprocket with C-4687 Special tool and adaptor C-4687-1 before removing the bolt, then take off both cam sprockets. Once done, remove the rear cover of the timing belt and the generator and its bracket. At this last step, unscrew the water pump to engine attaching bolts.
