How to Safely Remove and Replace a Drive Belt on a 2.4L Engine on 2007 Dodge Caravan?

When replacing or removing the drive belt from a 2.4L engine start by removing the drive belt shield and then raise the vehicle on a hoist. Be careful not to let the drive belt tensioner snap back as you will damage the tensioner or cause personal injury. Attach a wrench to the belt tensioner lug and release the belt tension by rotating the tensioner clock wise. When the tension is released, take the belt off and put the tensioner back gently to where it is relaxed (to where it was before you disassembled it).
