In order to disassemble the timing chain, dislodge the negative battery cable and empty out the cooling system. Ease out upper intake manifold, cylinder head covers and timing chain cover. Time marks should be matched precisely not to be damaged. Take out the timing chain tensioner, camshaft position sensor and the sprockes and then the primary timing chain.
