You should first raise and support the car before starting the catalytic converter service or repair on an engine. Put some heat valve lubricant on all the bolts and nuts and then give the lubricant 5 minutes to penetrate. Then, get rid of the electrical connections for the oxygen sensor, take off clamp 4 and remove the bolts between the exhaust and the manifold. After that, take out catalytic converter 3.
