How to Safely Disable the Airbag System Using the A/C Switch Before Servicing the Control Assembly on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?

Before you service the control assembly, remove and disconnect the air bag battery negative cable, then allow two minutes for the capacitor to discharge. It is the only trustworthy way to stop the air bag system so that by mistake, the air bag doesn't deploy and cause an injury. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery as the first step. After that, take out the center bezel from the instrument panel and detach the wire harness connectors from the back of the A/C-heater control. Keep in mind to have a face shield to avoid any damage to the front of the center bezel. Set the center bezel on a workbench and take out the screws holding the AC-heater control in place, along with the control component.
